Enthusiasts,

I agree to all that we here a source of all questions aobut the Luftwffe. But nobody knows that
the twonarchive in Wiesbaden near Frankfurt has an archive of the AAF in Europe. There you can
find weekly reports of occupied german aircraft technologie. Results of different battles agains the Luftwaffe, espacially over D-day.

I add more details. The townarchive of Wiesbaden has two boxes which include microfilm of fotographed documents of the AAFE till mid 50ies.
The reason why is that the 9th Air Force was
with few fighter, bomber and different other groups stationed in Europe. The former Headquater was Wiesbaden where you find a plate on a house to remember the american HQ of the Air Lift to Berlin.
An example is the weekly activity report Us strategic Air Forces in Europe, 3.7.45

36. A completely assembeled Do-335 aircraft was seen on 6 june at R-62 (mengen) ready for test flights which were not made, as the aircaraft was disassembeled by the French an shipped to France. French units guarding the field reused to allow a IX AFSC air dis-
armamentteam to make a detailed inspection. ...
