Since I'll be in Mainz by month's end, I kindly ask you information on LW WW2-related information on that region.
Historic note would be also welcome
TIA

Paolo,
there are many things which could catch you interests. First, you should visit to airfield
Mainz/Finthen. There is a hangar with a american (right) and german tower (left) in original condition.
A book was published by Hans Leiwig called 'Bomben auf Mainz' about bombing Mainz and Happy Valley.
Although you should visit the Frankfurter Stadtmuseum, where you can see the distruction of this town
in a scaled model.
the former airfield Limburg/Linter, Wiesbaden and Eschborn near Frankfurt/Main doesn't exist any more or restricted area.
That's a little overview about the Rhein-Main-Gebiet and have a nice day.
Regards,
Alex
