Dear all
Here is a photo .
Someone had it in the anniversary of the
JaBoG 34 "Allgäu", 18 September 1999.
Dose anyone have the 109's information?
Is it the original plane?
It looked like F type.

The above photo appears on page 4 of the Aircraft Photo Collection website by Franco Sella. The general website address is:
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/fsella/
Only 2 of the pages are of Luftwaffe interest. The noted page is entitled "40 Jahre JaBoG 34 "Allgäu"":
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/fsella/pag4.htm
Single color photos of a Bf 108 (D-IOIO) and what is claimed to be a Bf 109G-2 are presented, although this appears to be disputed in the subsequent discussion on TOCH! captured below.
The other page of interest is entitled "DAIMLER CHRYSLER AEROSPACE OPEN DAY: MANCHING - JUNE 1998":
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/fsella/pag2.htm
Seven color photos of a Me 109G, D-FMBB, and a single color photo of a Bf 108 are shown. The following overall description was provided:
"DASA (Daimler Chrysler Aerospace) organized in June 1998 an open day at their Manching Airfield, located some 80 km north of Munich. Many aircraft from the DASA and Luftwaffe flight test centers, both based in Manching, were on static display or flew during the day. In addition a number of historical aircraft from the 'Messerschmitt Stiftung' and other private aircraft were present."

Richard

Willy and Daniel,
these two aircrafts the Bf 108 and bf 109F belong to Messerschmitt foundation and I think were based in manching. I saw both in Schleißheim in the Deutsches Museum
few years ago.
the D-IOIO has a complete original cockpit. I think it's a real Bf 108 Taifun.

Hi!
I think the 109 at this link
is a bad misc rebuild.
This details let me think it's a "Gustav"
-Cannopy with the strong border
-Peilrahmen
And this detail looks like a "Fritz":
- no airintakes (2 pieces on both sides) behind the spinner on the crowling
Sorry about my bad english ...
Greetings from Germany

DEAR Falcon
From your analysis, perhaps this 109 is not the original or restored plane.
But it is still interesting.
I got this photos in a web of air shows.
The web is here
http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/fsella/pag4.htm
You can see a bf108 and a bf109 there.
The editor said that the 109 was G-2 .
My English is not good ,neither . http://www.lwag.org/ubb/smile.gif

Add the two little airintakes (both sides) behind the spinner on the crowling and remove the "Peilrahmen" behind the cannopy, then it looks like a G-2. I never saw (on old
pictures) a G-2 with a "Peilrahmen".

T. C. Kenny has created a beautiful website entitled "The Flightline" WW II Aviation Archive. A number of museum photos are presented which should be of interest. The site address is:
http://www.kotfsc.com/aircraft/main.htm
Aircraft of Luftwaffe interest are covered in the following sections. Some photo labelling is incorrect, so be cautious. I've done the best I can to identify the aircraft as well as the museums some of the photos were taken at, but I certainly could be wrong in some of these.
Fighter Aircraft
The main page to this section has a beautiful color photo of two yellow nose Bf 109's in flying formation. Each aircraft covered has generally a lead color photo, technical specifications, background information, a list of variants, and a color profile. The aircraft covered are:

Hi, Radik,
there is a privat aircraft museum at Hannover-Laatzen. The adress and opening hours can be found at www.hannover.de. (http://www.hannover.de.)
I've been there some days ago. Among other aircraft from different periods they have a BF 109 G-2 and a Fw 190 A (replica with original parts). The exibition contains a lot
of small Luftwaffe items like original tool boxes, life belts, rubber dinghis, uniforms etc.

The Aircraft Resource Center website, alternatively known as the three Steves' Aircraft Resource Center website, is aimed at modellers. It's biggest attraction to the researcher is its very large collection of photos of museum aircraft. The site address is:

This site has clearly been around a long time with over 500,000 hits. The following sections are of historical interest:

Bf 109G-10 Schwarz '2 +' ex Dittes
Sat Mar 10 17:09:38 2001
Hello,
Sorry to cause confusion, I haven't updated my sight for a while, I will try to update in the near future.
It seems that Black '2' has been sold by Hans Dittes, where he had it flying at Mannheim, Germany, to the Planes of Fame Museum (according to Aeroplane magazine),
this is a shame, as this now means there are currently (as far as I know) no Luftwaffe fighters now flying in Europe, I know Dittes' Bf 109G-10 was made up of parts from a
genuine G-10, but it mainly consists of a Spanish built aircraft. I would still count it as partly original.
The reason I had it at as being at Duxford, was because it was often on display at British Airshows and thus stored at Duxford regularly.
Further information would be appreciated on the current whereabouts of Black '2'

James R. Yeowell
