Underground hangars and aircraft elevators at Eschborn airfield

In about two weeks I'm going to Frankfurt. I'm interested in visiting some Luftwaffe sites that are in the area. Does anyone of you guys know any such sites in and around Frankfurt?

Hi,

When I was living in Ffm, I met some guys from Eschborn who told me that there was a former LW airfield in Eschborn (northwest from Frankfurt), right next to the today's asyle-camp.
They told me that mumors go on underground hangars and aircraft elevators. They said that after the war the US army just blew up all entrances. There shall even be escape tunnels in direction to Sulzbach.

I dont't know what is right and what is wrong.

I've been to that field, but the area is now being used by the local fire brigade and the "Deutsche Post". You still can see hangars and parts of the concrete runways.
Unfortunately it is not allowed to enter the area.

Maybe by now, you can find out more?
