Try "St. Truiden" and not "St. Trond"...

It's located between Brussels (40 miles to the west of St Truiden) and Maastricht in the Netherlands (40 miles to it's east).
The official name is St Truiden which is the Flemish name. In that part of Belgium people speak Flemish (very similar to Dutch language) so St Truiden is the official name. St Trond is only used in the French speaking part of Belgium.

Hi ,
Sorry for the delay.
Sint-Truiden is the official name of the town.
Sometime you can find also the name : Saint-Trond ( this is the same town but written in French ).
During W.W.II there was a German Airfield used by NJG 1 and later by the U.S.A.A.F. ( 48 FG , 404 FG , 386 BG and 305 BG ).
Other names for the airfield are : Brustem of Brusthem
Best regards ,
