German raid on Mourmelon airbase

I am working on captions for a few new photos that depict the devastation of this airbase. I cannot find any mention of it on maps, although I know this station was just outside of Reims.
The photos all show a large, modern (by 1940 standards) hangar that was just plain wrecked from end to end. Large craters suggest the Germans were using 1,000 kg bombs instead of their usual tactical bombs of a generally smaller size. There are remains of a possible Spitfire or Hurricane (partial markings are ?+RH) but there is only a rear fuselage remaining. A small group of German Heer and LW troops are touring the rubble, standing in the deepest craters, etc. and it appears that no one has made any effort to clear the debris prior to the new inhabitants arrival.
Can anyone tell me when Mourmelon airbase was struck by the Germans? I would like to put captioning info on the backs before I donate the images, and so far I am coming up blank in my efforts to find out more about this raid (and this airbase). Also, is that partial fuselage code French or RAF? Can't tell any more about the markings - the roundel is of the same style used by both air forces.
