This is a fascinating little site, mainly focused on Andre's modeling hobby, but also containing some interesting information on the nightfighter guideship Togo and the Soviet air raid to Tallinn, capital of Estonia, on 9/10 March 1944. The website address is:
http://www.hut.fi/~andres/
Sections of Luftwaffe interest are:
scale model building
List of the references I have - Many common books, but also some covering Estonia military history, as well.
Images of my models - Includes brief historical backgrounds for the following:
Blohm & Voss Bv 40 V1
Blohm & Voss P.194.02-01
Blohm & Voss P.211.02
Blohm & Voss P.215.02
Focke Achgelis Fa 223E-0 Drache
Focke Achgelis Fa 330A Bachstelze
Focke-Wulf Fw 189A-1 Uhu nightfighter
Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8/R11 nightfighter
Focke-Wulf J P.II
Focke-Wulf P.1310251-13/II
Heinkel He 162 with forward-swept wings
Messerschmitt Me 262A-1a
Messerschmitt P.1101 nightfighter
Nachtjagdleitschiff (night fighter guide ship) Togo
Nicknames of German WWII aircraft - Fairly lengthy lists of aircraft sorted either by type or nickname.
Most popular subjects of German WWII aircraft model kits - Interesting to see what the most popular aircraft types are amongst the manufacturers and modeling fraternity. Top of the heap, the Bf 109, with 247 kits. Wow! My favorite, the Me 262, including Kikka, Su 9, and Czech versions, comes in third with a whopping 105 kits.
Märtsirünnak (March raid), the devastating Soviet air raid to Tallinn, capital of Estonia, on 9/10 March 1944
Obviously of keen interest to Andres, he has covered this subject in great detail, including much more information on the nightfighter guide ship Togo. Much detail on various raids of the period. Many photos of Tallinn.
Regards,
Richard
