For a discussion of KG 26 Ju 88 and Ju 188 losses in Norway in 1945, including numerous Ju 88 Werknummern, see the topic "Museums with Luftwaffe aircraft - 3" on the "Archives in Scandinavia" forum.

unusual WNr. Fw 190, Ju 88

During the study of some documents I found some factory numbers, which seems to be typos, but maybe someone can help me.
For the Fw 190 they were:
282254,282272 and 282270. No subtype was given, but I think, they may be F-8 from 582xxx block.
I have also a Ju 88 with 782417, which looks for me as a
Bf 109 G-14 782417, because the 782 block for Ju 88 in unknown to me.
Thanks in advance
Dirk Lehmann

Neither Ju88 W,Nr. 430754 nor 801352 appear in portions of either Gen.Qu.6.Abt. or Tägliche Verlustmeldung Schulen usw. I have seen. The first aircraft was probably built as a D-1 at Bernberg in early 1943. The second was probably built as an A-4 in mid 1943, but I am not at all certain which assembly location. I would be interested in your source for these W. Nrs. With additional information, I might be able to link them to Ju 88s, in my listing that are listed by location, date, etc.

Hi,
thank you both for your information. I thougt the last WNr., 801352, is an A-17 Torpedo-version, but I haven´t these detailed lists as you have. The numbers are from a sheet of paper from an fliegerhorst in south germany which I have found in an old book. Maybe it was from a mechanic, who worked at the machines. He had written also some other numers, which I will post, too.
Thanks again
Wolfgang

Based on the C-Amt material I have seen, it appears all A-17s were umbau conversions, usually from A-4s. For this reason they do not follow any given W.Nr. sequence. So, your a/c could be an A-17, but the W.Nr. just by itself won't tell you.

Artie,

Looking at "Ju88 in action - Part 1", a few A-17 were produced. The main difference between A-4/Torp (converted) and A-17, last one had the ventral gondola deleted.
