Help please on WWII German fighter clock...
Sun Jan 13 05:20:15 2024
I just got a clock that is supposed to be out of a German WWII fighter. On the name plate it says
Borduhr
Bauart: Gebr: Junghans
Gerat Nr 127-553A
Werk Nr 63482
Anforderz Fl 23885
Herst. Gebr. Junghans
Schramberg
inside it says
J30BZ
31358
on back of the rear case cover, done by hand:
????DW
and on the inside of the rear case cover, done by hand:
57+DW
b(or 3)077
There is no name or other writing on the front face, except for the numerals. There is a rotating bezel. There is a winding knob below the 6 o'clock position. There is a tab of some sort below the winding knob, and there is a sliding tab below the 5 o'clock position (it selects either wind or set time mode). There is also a small dial 0-30, at lower mid center of the face.
I would like to establish that it is a WWII German aircraft clock, and of course would like to know which aircraft it was removed from and any other particulars.
Thank you, Howard Leveque hl@home.com icq 14008771
