The introduction page to this site is:

http://www.usafa.af.mil/dfsel/sl3/intro.html

Strangely, there is no link to the rest of the site on this page! The site deals with the evacuation of Stalag Luft III on 27 Jan. 1945 and the travails of the internees as they made their way to Stalag VIIa in Moosburg. The journey begins at:

http://www.usafa.af.mil/dfsel/sl3/march/index.html

From here the reader can navigate to the other site pages. This page has a short article with 2 photos. There is a link to a video on the evacuation to Moosburg.

Progressing to the other pages:

The Train To Stalag VIIA - Photo of typical transport train and short discussion.

Scrapbook - German newspaper clippings.

The Route To Stalag VIIA - Map of the evacuation route from Stalag Luft III to Stalag VIIA.

Red Cross Box - Photo of typical Red Cross food parcel box. History of this specific box.

Improvised Transport Sled - Photo of sled and commentary.

Propaganda - Photos of bound "Der Adler" taken along during evacuation of Stalag Luft III.

Regards,
Richard

While I was looking for information about a certain Stalag I came across a lot of websites containing information about POW camps. If you are interested in information about POW camps here are some URLs.
http://www.moosburg.org/info/stalag/indeng.html Subject: POW camp Stalag VII A. It has a beautiful list of "all" POW camps in the Third Reich.

http://www.behindbarbedwire.com/ about Stalag Luft 1.

http://www.indy.net/~lerose/ about Stalag Luft IV 1944-1945.

http://www.lp-net.com/pow/ Peoria to Munich. A POW from 101st Airborne Division.
