StaffelKapitaen 4/JG52 in 1943

I would like to know the StaffelKapitaen of 4/JG52 during March and April 1943. Also does anyone have any info on Leutnant Artur Von Cossel who served in this unit in 1943. I believe Von Cossel was either KIA/MIA on 19 April 1943 ? Did he have any confirmed victories ? Any info on Von Cossel and the name of the StaffelKapitaen would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you in advance.

Andy,
My info indicates that Oblt Gerhard Barkhorn was St.Kap. of 4./JG 52 from March 1, 1942 to August 31, 1943, which covers the period of your question. Can't be of any help on von Cossel.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has details on the loss of II./JG 77's Heinz Krause on 23 April 1943 in Tunisia?
Also, is there a list available of names for the Tunisian E airfields and landing grounds? In particular, I'm looking for the name and location of E76.
Cheers,
Andrew A.

Thanks Jim,
To add to your database, another German unit in the Medjez-el-Bab area saw a plane shot down and the pilot bail out about 5-8 km north of Sebkret el Kourzia at 16:00. This was almost certainly Heinz Krause. Krause was probably shot down by 111 Squadron Spitfires.

Hi Jim
Thanks for the response. You have answered a querry that was bugging me for the last two days.
I have a single Stkz in the RE+I. range for a Bf 109F-4 with the W/Nr. 13050, this being RE+IH.
With the info that RE+IQ was 13043 I thought that my info for 13050 might habe been in error.
Perhaps if the Loss report states that the original Stkz was RE+IA then this could be correct but with Prien's info giving RE+IQ this might well be wrong. Can anybody else throw any light onto this.
My data reads 13043 - 13050> as RE+IA - RE+IH>
If anybody can push the Stkz/W/Nr further on then I would be most grateful. Thanks.
Tom Willis
