I have a very burnt and battered SK im bronze with swords taken from a UK crash as a souvenir possibly of Hptm Ernst Wiggers, kia 11.9.1940 over England. Is there any listing which would confirm whether Wiggers was recipient of this medal? How many were issued? Being able to tie these to UK losses would perhaps narrow the field if not Wiggers! It would certainly help to eliminate Wiggers, or not, as a possible. Andy Saunders.

In the historical file of the Spanish Air Force ,there are personnal's lists that received badges for their participation in the Spanish Civil War.

Approximately 14.000 legionaries received some badge for that ,if Hptm Ernst Wiggers,he was in Spain ,is many sure that he received some.

Send me to the private mail all the information that you have of Ernst Wiggers, I will try to discover in the file if he received that badge.
