The Aircraft Walkaround Center website, by Robert Lundin, consists of primarily of photos and links to photos. Photos of Luftwaffe interest represent but a fraction of the total site offering, yet that is substantial. The site address is:
http://www.aircraftwalkaround.com/
Sections of Luftwaffe interest:

Focke Wulf Fw 190 A-8 "Blue 4"
19 detail color photos were taken at the TEXAS AIR MUSEUM, San Antonio, TX by Kenneth Eck.

Got a few pictures taken at Bardufoss / Gardermoen - norway of Ar66's - NSGr.8 machines? I did record the (presumably) w.nr of one of the Ar 66's - the one with the ETC - as 2565..
Any comments - assuming the link works..

Hi Anders,
At my website www.axisaircraft.com you can find some basic information regarding some of the Ar 66s recovered at Bardufoss. I think that they recovered remains of all in all 11 Ar 66s but there was so little worth salvaging from some of them, that they've just listed 7 frames as recovered. The only W.Nrs I've seen on them are 850 and 1034, but may be you know of more?
From the same place they've salvaged half-track trucks and other stuff. There's still stuff around at Bardufoss, some of it buldozed into a gorge by the english after the war.

Ar 66 identity plates!

Hi
I am trying to put together Ar 66 W/nrs (aswell as other Arado types).
The Ar 66 was manufactured by quite a few other manufacturers than just Arado.
From the identity plates it should be possible to give the respective manufacturer for the surviving W/nrs.
Is this information available?
Anything that you might be able to give me will be of some help.
Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Tom Willis

I found out that there is French built Siebel 204D in Museum in Linkoping, Sweden, unfortunately it seems not to be on display. Would it be possible to get some photos of the plane anyway? I mean kind of 'walkaround' photos - landing gear bay etc.

THe aircraft is in storage and accessible by prior appointment. I guess one has to have a good reason (or contacts :-)to get access to it. The storage hangar is in a military area which might (don't know) complicate things for foreigners. But I suggest you contact Flygvapenmuseum directly since they are very friendly and helpful.

Nose of a Heinkel.
Dear Friends,
I'm a modeller, starting to build a model of He 111 H 20 by Airfix.
The problem I face is the nose of this craft. As far as I know, this part of the Heinkel was modified in this version, but the Airfix didn't modelled it the right way, I'm affraid. What I'm looking for are pictures or sketches of He 111 H 20 nose to remodell it correctly.
Help me please find them!

Hi,
On the original aircraft the H-20 nose was basically the same overall shape and size as the earlier H models. (Personally verified by examination/measurement of surviving specimens, RAF museum and Norway).
I seem to recall that the Airfix H-20 fuselage and nose particularly were slightly too thin in plan view. The fuselage was relatively easy to correct. The nose I tried widening with clear plastic inserts without success, and ended up using an Italeri nose as a pattern and moulded heated acetate sheet over it. This came out okay.
There is a reprint of an He 111 H-20 handbook on eBay at present which has illustrations of the cockpit area, this may be of use!
