Ultra KV 1149 says that included in losses reported on 25th March 1944 by Luftflotte 3 were:

(a) 23rd March: Stab/NAG 13, one Fw 190 shot up Guernsey airfield on landing, slight damage.

(b) (fair indications 23rd March): 1./NAG 13, one Fw 190 belly landing at Guernsey owing lack of fuel. Slight damage.

Hi Ian,

Although the Channel Islands isn't my region of interest I'll have a try with the aid the documentation on my shelves. Hope this will cut down your extensive list:

From Battle over Britain by Francis K. Mason (old publication, might contain errors)

29/07/40: He.111 I/KG27 100% loss
09/08/40: Bf.109 I/JG53 80% loss
13/08/40: Ju.87 II/SG2 100% loss, shot down by 609 Sqdn Spit
13/08/40: Bf.109 II/JG53 30% damaged
23/08/40: Ju.52 IV/KGzbV1 Werknr 6324 1Z+AA 70% loss
25/09/40: Do.18 2./KFlGr106 Werknr 0881 M2+EK
Shot down at 16.05 hrs between Ushant and Guernsey by Blenheim of 236 Sqdn of P/O G.H. Russell. Five members seen to enter a dinghy. Only four reported as missing:
Oblt zur See Steele
Oblt Heuveldop
Uffz Kahlfeld
Fw Brasch

From The Turning Point by John Foreman:

22/01/41: Ju.88 2.(F)/123 Werknr 0401 15% damaged
10/03/41: Ju.88 5.(F)/122 Werknr 0390 50% damaged
14/03/41: Ju.88 3.(F)/123 Werknr 0559 100% loss
Crashed in sea near Jersey after combat.
Fw K-H Jahnke & crew believed safe.

I couldn't find any loss matching those in November 1940, although Foreman's publications are quite complete. Are the dates correct?

Regards,
Hans Nauta

Ian,

I have an old paperback called "The German Occupation of Jersey" by L.P.Sippel.
here's what it says on three of your losses
November 7,1940- One of the big German troop carriers crashes at the airport;there well over twenty casualties, the majority being pilots who had finished a course of training.
June 13,1943-A German seaplane comes down off the north of the island to pick up a British airman who had been in a rubber dinghy for several days. The airman was landed at Greve-de-Lecq and taken to German military hospital at Merton Hotel
June 21,1944-About 3:30 am the German flak-ships off the harbour and a German bomber was hit and set afire. Fortunately, no one was injured among the civil population
but the whole crew of five perished-four on the spot and the fifth later in hospital.
