10 (Pz)./SG 9 pilot records

I have a set of interesting documents, including award docs to a 10 (Pz)./SG 9 pilot by the name of Franz Josef Birnbaum - he was KIA in 5 April 1944 flying a Hs 129. I am trying to profile his service in the Luftwaffe (and indeed any other information) and to this end I have gone to Bundesarchive in Aachen to try and get his Luftwaffen personalakte, this has been without success. Because he was from Breslau, Silesia I wonder if there might be archives there where I could some information on him, would anyone know where to start? I am keen to get a photo of Birnbaum, Martin Peggs book on the Hs 129 has been an excellent source of information on 10 (Pz)./SG 9, but has no photos of Birnbaum.
