I often visit tha Ebeltoft area in Danmark to visit friends. Each time I am there I wonder just what Luftwaffe units were based at the near-by airfield at Tirstrup. I know that late in the war there were MISTAL aircraft there. Can anyone tell me what was there earlier in the war? Thanks, Larry

The airfield became operationel in september 1944 when 4/II/NJG 3 used it. In november 1/I/NJG 3 took over until january 1945. At this time II/KG 200 transferred to Tirstrup, until mid february. End february 14/KG 200 transfered to tirstrup with training-mistels.
