Hi !

Still seeking information on Ofw. Hunderz of 6./NJG 101 Parndor, Austria.

On the night of 3/4 April 1944 this pilot shot down 2 Wellington Bombers that had just attacked the Manfred Weiss Armaments factory on Czepel Island, Budapest. I believe he was flying an Me 110 G4.

Unfortunately I have not come across any other details about this pilot and it has been suggested to me that I may have to find a German researcher who could check (Bundesarchiv-Militararchiv.)

Is this advisable? Are there many German/English researchers? and are they expensive?

Thanks,
David Griffith

BA-MA Researchers

Hi David,

Regarding researchers at the BA-MA, I've been using one for about a year-and-a-half. He does a good job, and his fees seem reasonable. After finding the records, he uses a digital camera to photograph them, then sends the results to you on a CD.

If interested, I can email you his contact details. I also have contact details for two other BA-MA researchers, although I've never contacted them.

I've also used a researcher at the PRO in London, and would recommend it for any Luftwaffe enthusiast. As an Australian University student, I'm a long way from European archives, and don't have a lot of spare cash, but using researchers has meant I now have a good collection of primary material on the Luftwaffe.

Cheers,
Andrew A.
