There are three sources of aviation material in the Seattle area that I know of.
Seattle Public Library Aero Collection
Museum of Flight Archive
Boeing Aerospace Archive
I've not looked into the last two but the Seattle Aero Collection is a wonderfull resource of old aviation periodicals and books from all over the world.
There are many prewar and war time German Books and publications in the collection and several published USAAF and British after war reports on German Aviation in the collection.
Example:
Evaluation of German Arado 234
By Richard J. Baker, 1st Lt. Air Corps
U. S. Air Force Headquarters Air Material Command
Wright Field, Dayton, OHIO
T-2 AMC Technical Intelligence
Date Prepared: 2 May 1946
Release Date: 5 August 1946
And my favorite subject:
Report on Helicopter Developement In Germany
May 1945
By R. H. Prewitt
Published by SAE information Service at Request of SAE Committee S-2 Helicopters
