The following comes from a Jan. 1998 posting on 12 O'clock High! and is of value now because it tells of the availability of this film at the NARA and the aircraft shown on the film:

This is a cry for help!
I have a roll of 35mm film obtained from the US National Archives, that has a strip of film showing an exhibition of captured Allied aircraft at Rechlin airfield. The description of the film strip is described as: "Conferees looking at a display of aircraft including Hawker Typhoon, Spitfire, Martin B-26, Bristol Beaufort, Hawker Hurricane, DeHaviland Mosquito, Short Stirling, Russian La-5 and LAGG-3, German Heinkel He-219C, Dornier DO-217, Arado 232A, Messerschmitt Me-323, B-17 and B-24."
At this point, I am debating what to do with it. I would like to make VHS Master tapes, few copies, and some still photos. Do the members of this ilustrious have any suggestions? By the way, a portion of this film strip was used in the book "Red Phoenix" by Von Hardesty. I am open to suggestions.
