You can find a couple of dozen original German Abschussmeldungen from III. and IV./JG 3 in early 1944 in NARA, Record Group 242, Microfilm Roll T-971, Roll 11. These victory reports should contain amount and type of ammunition expended and the type of enemy aircraft claimed.
