The gun camera film I have was made from a first-generation copy of the original. I'm not sure where there are some stored. I would guess that there may be some at the USAF Historical Research Agency at Maxwell AFB in Alabama. Perhaps those more familiar with this agency's contents can comment.

I know for a fact that a variety of Gun camera film is available through the National Archives.
It can be expensive, though.
There is both WWII and Korea footage.

please do you know what particular National Archieve needs to ask for any list or roster of possible gun camera films?
I need ask for some films. I know pilot, unit, date, etc.

Guys:

Many months ago,l had a response from Jerry Crandall regarding the issue of gun camera film; at the time he said that there was some LW guncamera footage that they were going to transfer from film to videotape. I was just dropping a note to see what the status of these videos are. Have these videos been completed yet?

I recently bought a video called "Gun Camera Footage of World War II. It has both USAAF and Luftwaffe footage and is very good! It's an Avion Park video distributed by Jaguar Home Video. I found it at the local Best Buy Store. I recommend it and also invite anyone with other videos of gun cam. footage to either post a message here or email me directly. Hope you can find this video!

Hello board.

Does anyone know where to find something about allied gun photo libraries.

Also, have anyone seen a gun camera fotage of an allied fighter strafing some Fokker D.XXI (in the air or on the ground) in the later part of WWII, assumingly the first 3/4 of 1944.

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)
Moving Media Branch, Archives II - College Park,
8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, MD 20740-6001, holds the service's gun camera footage from World War II. According to the Archives, only about 20,000 ft. of film survives today, the remainder having been salvaged for silver recovery at some indeterminate date in the past. It is conceivable that some small amount of film survives in private hands, but this may as well be lost as there is no effective means of locating it.
