While I am at it, I guess I should also ask if anyone has WOrld War 2 era maps of Germany so that I can determine what roads, railway lines, etc existed around the
airfields and the sites where the He-162 was built.

Am I asking for too much?

If you are in the USA, I would suggest you try the Defense Mapping Agency. At one point, years ago, i obtained photocopies of WWII era maps covering the area around
Aachen...then south around the Hurtgen forest.

I was able to get 1:25,000 and also 1;100,000 scale mapes.
