I am researching a Wehrpass which shows 2 years of service 1942-44 with Fliegerkompanie Lfl N.E.3

Was this a transport unit? Can anyone tell me how I can find more information on this unit.

I suspect this is Flieger-Kp./Luftnachrichten-Rgt. 3. The Regiment provided all sorts of communications support to Luftflotte 3. Every Luftflotte had its own Ln.Rgt. that carried the same number as the Luftflotte. Each of these regiments had a Fliegerkompanie, most of which were equipped with Ju 52s that were outfitted with both installed and off-loadable communications gear. Their mission was to provide direct, mobile support to the Luftflotte's headquarters. During 1942-44 Flieger-Kp./Ln.Rgt. 3 (FpN: L 08269) was mainly based at Paris-Villacoublay.

You could be right, this pilot's career appears to be mostly transport. I am still unsure about the Lfl N.E.3 - I thought this might have referred to Luftflotte North East 3, but this is pure guess work on my part.
