The archive collects war letters and has several ongoing projects. The website gives an overview of the activities of the archiv and samples of war letters. It is noted that some 30-40 billion such letters were written between the German war fronts and home. It is reasonably safe to assume that a portion of these were from members of the Luftwaffe. Depending on how the archive has organized these will depend upon how much use may be made of them in historical research. Reference is given to various collections and sources.
