Until now I have the following dates from Priens books:
Near Bonn-Siegburg: FW190, JG11 says 4 P47D's shot down, and 3 losses
FW190, JG 2 says one loss in fight with 17-20
P47D's, near Siegburg
But also: Buedingen (near Frankfurt am Main): ME109, JG77 claims one P47D
and 3 losses
Questions:
1) is is possible that after attacking Koblenz area the fight zigzagged
from Frankfurt towards Bonn/Siegburg, or do you think another theory
should be taken in account?
2) one US vet says he made a kill near Linz airfield, that's 18 miles
below Bonn: has a Linz airfield existed anyway and if so, any idea which
FW190 had been shot down at low altitude ??
Thank you
(the Operation report is a copy of the original, feel free to use it,
because everybody can get it at Maxwell Airbase)
