information on bf 109 wnr 781247

Recently I have been given pieces to a Messerschmitt bf 109 (wnr. 781247) shot down over France (or belgium) by AA while it was strafing a troop colum my grandfather was in. Among the parts my grandfather salvaged from the wreckage was the werk number which had been torn from the aircraft. I would like to learn more about this specific aircraft and who piloted it, but all I have come up with is a confusing mess of websites in German. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Bf 109G-14, WNr. 781247, flown by Deutschmann, Fw. Wilhelm, of 3./JG 27, marked gelbe, 9 + ,lost 24-Dec-44, KIA, cause unknown. Do you have the stenciled number from the tail or the manufacturer's plate?
