Dear Mr. Kleijn,
Good to hear (and read) about someone who is interested in a radar station in that area of Holland ! My name is Marcel Hogenhuis, member and author in the Dutch study group airfields. Our group has prepared a large manuscript about the history of the German and Allied airfields in the Netherlands in WW-2. For this book I wrote a chapter about electronic warfare including radar. May I contact you off board to discuss some questions with you? The stations GAZELLE and DELPHIN are interesting stuff!
Just send me a reply to my email address mentioned in the heading of this message. Then we could write/talk in the Dutch language.
Best wishes, Marcel Hogenhuis

Hello Willem,
On a map of April 1943, it is clearly shown that this Raum 8 was operated by the 15./Ln. Rgt.202.
In a file (report with regard to August 1943) made up by the Generalkommando III. Fliegerkorps, dated 12 September 1943, the following is noted: 1.Jagddivision - Raum Gazelle - Takt.Führung H.J.-Raumführer 101 - Fl.Verband IV./1 - Ln.Einheit 15./Ln.Rgt.202 - keine erfolge.
Furthermore is there a list of: Stand 1.August 1944 gemäss Meldung Gen.Kdo.I.Jgd.-Kps.Nafü 1 Ausb.-Nr.14241/44 geh. vom 7.8.1944 which clearly states: 3.Jagddivision - Deelen bei Arnhem (Divisions-Jägerleit-Offizier is Oblt.Schulze) -Raum 8 "Gazelle" 24./Ln.Rgt 201 (and not 210)- (later on 1./Ln.Rgt.223)- Kp.F.u. 1.ILO Oberleutnant Schumacher - 3.ILO Leutnant Ludwig - Gerätezugführer Uffz.Rohrhirsch.
As you can see, at least three different Regiments operated in this Radarstation.
Hope this is of some help to you. I very much would like to hear from you in the future when your work is published.
All the best,
Wim

Thanks, this info was already known to me. 210 was a typing mistake I guess. 15/ Ln.Rgt 202 was renumbered 24/Ln Rgt.201 after the big reorganisation in '43. After gazele was upgraded 1e Ordnung in fall 44 it became I/Ln.Rgt 223, which had its staff in Gazelle. Heins Lübke became the 1 JLO per sept 44 (officially feb 45)
geräte zugführer was Walter Behnke (from 1 aug 1943) and Albert Huber (1-3-42 till 13-4-45)
Anyway, thanks a lot, I'll keep you informed.
Willem
