Dear Jochen Prien,
Please allow me to ask again, could it be that the name of the airfield in question exists only in handwritten form in the JG 77 papers, and that “Sinjawka” could be a mis-reading? (Maybe for “Snamenka”?)
All best,
Christer Bergström
PS: I think I have access to a copy of the same map as you refer to. Sinjawka is clearly marked there. It is also easily located here:
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?GridE=&GridN=&client=public&lon=39.2833&lat=47.2833&place=Sinyavka,+Rostov,+Russia&db=w3&local=&type=&start=&limit=&overviewmap=&scale=1000000&lang=&db=w3
(It looks like multimap.com is a good source for finding detailed maps from around the world.
Regards,
Richard)
