Hello fellow researchers!

For my book project on the Nachtschlachtgruppen (NSGr.) during WW2 I´m still looking for the following reports:

> Allied Disarmament Intelligence Summaries <

Especially, Ju 87s, Fw 190, Ar 66 and Go 145 of NSGr., but also Bücker Bü 181 of the so called Nachtschlachtkommandos.

Any help appreciated, thank you very much in advance.

Greetings,

Christian Möller

These sound a lot more interesting than they realy are (at least the ones I've looked at). Examples are PRO AIR55/164 "Diarmament of the Luftwaffe in Schleswig-Holstein and Denmark by 83 Group RAF" and AIR55/124 and /125 "BAFO: Dissolution of the Luftwaffe February 1944–December 1946, Vols. I and II"

These tell you that (for example) 31 He 162 were found in germany and 634 Fw 190 plus 286 in Denmark and 58 in Norway but not lists of Werk Nummern, tactical markings, units etc.

AIR55/163 and /148 are files of Nos. 8302 and 8403 Air Disarmament wings but again with only a few items of historical interest. There is a lot about the policy for dealing with captured aircraft but much less about the aircraft themselves.

AIR29/931: "Disarament Servicing and Recovery Units 434, 435 & 456" says "It was decided on the spot that Fw 190 and Me 109 aircraft would not be required." They were interested either i ntechnically novel aircraft or in Ju 52s for transport use. AIR29/932 "Enemy Aircraft Servicing & Storage Unit" has a long list Ju 52 WNr.

AIR26/507 Is the operations Record Book of Air Disarmament wings 8401, 8402 & 8403; AIR26/508 covers wings 8501, 8502, 8701 and 8801 but when I looked (in 1988) they had little interest.

Of course the PRO index is now computerised and online and it's possible that if you go to www.pro.gov.uk (http://www.pro.gov.uk) and search under "air disarmament" that other material will come to light.
