Identify DO17 emblem

I have a photo of my grandfather who was a pilot in the luftwaffe sitting in a do17 recco aircraft. the aircraft in question is the pencil type with "radial" engines and the emblem is a white shield with a cross on it (crusades style), I remember being told the cross was black in colour.the photo was taken around the time of the blitz,and i think he was stationed in norway .If anyone can identify this emblem (squad,group)etc..or steer me in the right direction,this would help me in my search for my grandfathers service records

Having seen the picture it must be a plane from Aufkl.Gr.10 "Tannenberg".
