13.03.1943 : "Lord Haw-Haw" claims a Lancaster was shot down over Denmark the previous night.
In fact, it limped all the way back home and crashed at Scampton airbase. F/Egr Sgt Bernard "Nick" Carter survived to become my father.
Question is, how do we narrow down the search to find out whodunnit (a Ju88 crew) and demand a free beer from them if by chance they are still alive.

Well, first you can tell us, where the combat took place and (if you know) what serial number your fathers a/c had or squadron that he belonged to.
