I have 4 complete yearbooks of "Der Adler" from '40 to '43 and some loose numbers of '39 and some of '44. I was wondering who could tell me a bit more about this item (history, goals...) and what is the current value of these books ? Any tips where to sell ??

A useful Utrecht aviation expert would be Piet Hein Meijering ( author of "SIGNED WITH THEIR HONOUR" The story of chivalry in air warfare 1914-1945)Tel: +31 30 515870.He is unlikely to want to buy your Adler collection but may be able to give you more information on it. For an actual buyer I suggest you try H. de Weerd in Appeldoorn Tel 055 3552181 who is probably the top supplier of both old and new aviation books in Holland.

Dear Frans,
There is a Spanish language website that deals with "Signal" magazine. They also indicate an interest in "Der Adler". Go to the LWAG "Useful Websites" forums and look for the topic: "Signal (and Der Adler) magazine - WW II, by Carlos Diez & Lord Visantain". Here, you will find a link to this site. Perhaps the authors will have an email address for you to write to them.
Regards,
Richard

Hey All:
I've been purchasing Der Adlers on ebay and I know that they come in various languages. Now are these the same edition of each issue translated into other languages or could there possibly be more than one edition specific to the corresponding country?
Thanks!
Bobbie

Hi! I think the answer on Your question are positive, although I didn't see any der Adler on other languages because I saw "Luftwaffe Sud-Ost" on different language. BTW do You have der Adler, heft 13 from 1942? I need only the correct name of the text about Herbert Ihlefeld and also the name and surname of the author of the article (if mentioned). TIA Kind regards Anonimus

I have some numbers(anastatic reprint)of italian-german edition. On the front cover you can read for example "numero 1/ Berlino, 13 gennaio 1942 \\ Italia lire 2\\ Pubblicato a cura del Ministero dell' Aereonautica Germanico." All the captions are bi-lingual; text only in italian language;
I hope this help.

Besides English editions, they also made editions in Spanish and French. I don't know about Italian. I vaguely recall seeing some of it in Hungarian....

Hello,
I would like to know if someone have ever seen magazine like "Der Adler","Luftflotte West" or others where Hans assi Hahn, Egon Mayer, Siegfried Schnell or Walter Oesau were in cover?
Thanks
(Regarding "Luftflotte West", I found the following description on the "Collector items of World War 2" website at http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/4038/ :
"This is a magazine like Signal, but intended for Luftwaffe personal of the 'Luftflotte 3'"
Regards,
Richard)
