The Berlin Technical Museum has rolled out their Bf110F-2, Wernr.5052, coded LN+NR, an excellent static restoration judging by the pictures in the November issue of
Aeroplane.

Does anyone know what is going to happen to the other airframe they acquired from Tim Wallis, Bf110E-2, Werknr.4502, coded M8+ZE. Or was most of it used to restore
Werknr.5052, in either case how much of it is there.

I am also looking for a source of blueprints/construction drawinds for the Bf110.

Regards

Richard Benham

The following lead comes from Kai-Mikael Jää-Aro on 12 O'Clock High!.

Bob's Aircraft Documentation website can be found at:

http://www.bobsairdoc.com/

Other contact information:

Scale Model Research
3114 Yukon Avenue
Costa Mesa, CA 92626

(714) 979-8058

Bob claims to have over 20,000 pages of 3-view drawings. All drawings are on 11" x 17" paper. I checked those for the Me 262. Lots of drawings, but no really unusual variants. Still, with 20,000 to pick from, your favorite plane/variant just might be there. The specific catalog webpage, in Acrobat pdf format, is:

http://www.bobsairdoc.com/www-bobsairdoc-com/3viewcatalog.pdf

Bob's also offers photo packs. You can access the catalog, also in pdf, from the main site. However, it can take 20 minutes to download. Again, I looked for Me 262. There were 3 photo sets plus a perhaps 20 page plan set. Nearby was a 3/4-view drawing of the Me 262V9. However, whether this was for window dressing or was really represented in the plan set was rather debatable. The descriptions for the Me 262 photo sets clearly showed that Bob has no idea as to how to identify what he has. One sounded very much like museum shots of the Cosford Me 262. There was no mention of where taken or the Werknummer.

Regards,
Richard

Here is the source for Bf 109 drawings
Sun Aug 12 20:21:31 2026

Hi all,

just saw the posting on the Bf 109 drawings on ebay. Here is the source for the Messerschmitt drawings, a bit cheaper:

Flugzeugunion Sued GmbH
Mr. Essenfelder
Postfach 1152
85502 Ottobrunn
Germany.

Send them a letter telling them which copies you need, e.g. fuselage, nose section, wings and vertical tail of Bf 109 G-6. I paid for a one feet high pile of drawings about 280 Euros.

HTH,

Bernd.

Drawings
Thu Aug 23 13:54:10 2026

Hi Thomas,

these are the drawings which were used for the actual construction of the 109s in the factories. So these drawings contain all infos which are necessary, e.g. coorinate tables for the frames etc. So, all in all the drawings are very detailed, scale ranges from 1:2,5 to 1:10 in most cases. They also include camo scheme and stencelings. What you won´t find is an overall 3 view drawing in a large scale, e.g. 1:20 or so. Extracting infos on shape and outline is therefore labor intensive.

HTH,

bernd.

Hi Bernd

Thanks for your reply. I'm still very interested in those
drawings. Do you have a list of what is available ?

And would you photocopy one of these drawings for me ?
Dont get me wrong, I'm not trying to rip this guy off,
just trying to be sure about what I get. So you can
copy any drawing or part of it, you like. After all
280 euro is a lot of models.

Right now I'm working on some CAD drawings of the 109
which will serve two purposes. I will make them available
to all on HS and other sites and I am just starting to do
a large scale 109. But the drawings im working from is
nowhere near that quality that I think your drawings are.
It would be a great boost to get those drawings

Kind regards
Thomas, Denmark

Just how detailed do you need them. If you're only looking for 3-view orthos, then check out the "In Action" series of books by Squadron/Signal. They've got books for the Me109,110,410 and the Fw190. Or else try the Combat Aircraft series.
You can order these books thru Motorbooks at www.motorbooks.com (http://www.motorbooks.com)
The catalog numbers for the In Action books are...
Me109 102987A and 103181A
Me110 102970A

WAR Aircraft Replicas of Florida P.O. Box 79007, Tampa Florida 33619 is the latest address I have for them. There is a fellow who built a F-4U Corsair replica I see flying once in a while. There is also Loehle aircaft they make a scale Spitfire,P-51 Mustang and P-40 Warhawk. All are single seaters. The WAR series are more complex but do cruise a little faster. Loehle aircraft web site is www.loehle.com (http://www.loehle.com).

Does any one have any dealing with NARA?

I started the ball rolling on the preservation of over 200 ta 152 factory original plans plus associated material. Unfortunately I have recieved no reply's to my emails since the last correspondance in which they said a box would be completed by Aug 2026.

ANy help in this matter would be appreciated.

Dear Liam,

I research at NARA II. I think I know which Ta 152 drawings you are talking about that are there, as I once tried looking at them, but gave up because of the permanent set these folded vellum drawings had taken because they had been folded and stuffed into roughly 1-ft. cube boxes. Has there really been an effort initiated to have them properly restored?

Richard
