This site was brought to my attention through a posting by Nick Beale on 7 Sept. 2000 on 12 O'clock High!. The site presents a thorough coverage of the Battle of Britain from 10 July 1940 until 31 October 1940. The fighter Command Diaries are to be published in full. Audios of radio broadcasts of the time are available. The information is being provided on a daily basis, matching the events of 60 years ago. The URL for the site is:
http://www.raf.mod.uk/bob1940/bobhome.html
Here are the major sections of the site:
Daily Reports
As I said above, these are being presented on a daily basis to match events of 60 years ago. Each daily report gives the weather, targets attacked by the Luftwaffe, Luftwaffe action, list of Fighter Command serviceable aircraft, list of Luftwaffe losses, note on British losses, patrols, balloons, aerodromes, organization, and home security reports.
Air Power - aircraft of the Battle of Britain, with videos and cockpits shown
Links & Events
Five Battle of Britain links are given. Commemorative events are listed by date.
Background
Details are given on the background, Fighter Command Organization, phases of the battle, and Squadron diaries.
