Heinz Rokker's claims on 15 March 1944
I have compiled night fighter claims data for the night of 15 March 1944 from the OKL, Boiten, Foremann & Parry, and in the case of Petr's site for Rokker specifically.
In looking at Oblt. Heinz Rokker's claims from these sources, an issue arises. It is generally noted that Rokker had three kills. However, Rokker cannot be 50Km SW Strasbourg at 2226 and at the same time be at Saarbruken, then near Aschaffenburg at 2230 hrs and then be at W Haguenau at 2235. There are other claims but these, especially the one referring to 50Km SW Strasbourg, I wish to have clarified if possible. Was he or was he not south of Strasbourg around 2230? Can anyone help? Cheers, Lisa |

Lisa,
According to Chronik I.Gruppe Nachtjachtgeschwader 2, by Heinz Rökker, published in 1997, at page 98: Um 22.26 Uhr 10 km südlich von Aschaffenburg. Um 22.35 westlich von Hanau. Um 23.55 Uhr westlich von Stuttgart. I think this is the only reliable source for the "Abschüsse" of Rökker. Jaap |
